Frequently asked questions
about the Wannsee, Berlin & Potsdam Cold War & Nature Bike Tour
Do we go inside the palace?
There’s just so much to see that we will only make a stop outside the palace on our bike ride
Is there a break on the tour?
We will take at least 2 breaks on the tour. At each break location coffee, snacks, ice cream, bathrooms, and stunning views are available. At the end of the tour, before catching the ferry, we will stop for excellent German food and beer (non-alcoholic and vegetarian options available).
Where does the tour finish?
We will finish the tour in Kladow. From there we can take the Ferry across the Wannsee and then ride the train back to Berlin.
Where can I rent a bike?
You must arrive at Wannsee Station with a bike already. I recommend Take A Bike, next to Friedrichstrasse Station. You can rent your bike there and then take the S1, S7, RE1, or RE7 trains to Wannsee Station.
How do I take my bike on the train?
You can buy an AB bike ticket. You will also need one to get back to Berlin, but we can sort that out on the tour.
You can find more info on the bike ticket here.
